Mediumwave sensitivity improvement for ICOM IC-707.
This page was last updated 13.05.17 by Martin Storli.
The sensitivity below 1,6 MHz is greatly reduced on ICOM IC-707. The attenuation is accomplished with R105 and R108. Replacing R105 and R108 with a wire will restore the sensitivity below 1,6 MHz. Performing this modification may result in overloading problems below 1,6 MHz.
Before you do this, please make sure you understands the consequences this modification or failure of this modification can lead to:
-
The warranty of your IC-707 will be void!
-
You may damage your IC-707 beyond repair!
-
I will not accept any responsibilities or liabilities of what you or any other persons choose to do with your or anyone else's IC-707 transceivers.
-
If you have never done anything similar to this before: FORGET ABOUT IT!
-
Working with electronics without paying close attention to safety may kill or seriously harm you or someone else!
-
Make sure you know what you are doing!
